Baby Food.
I can honestly say I am not sad to have that week over.
The Baby Food Diet has got to be one of the worst ideas anyone ever came up with for a diet. Between the texture, the taste and the color (all in the neutral family) I can not believe anyone has actually gotten further than a couple of days. I barely made it through one day. After opting to replace meals with regular food – just the thought of having the baby food on a partial basis was still rough.
You had to have 10-14 jars to meet the minimal recommended calorie intake for a day (1,000 to 1,300). The smell of each of the foods was not pleasant. I like to smell everything before I put it in my mouth. That’s the pleasure of eating to “pre-taste” your meal before you actually place a morsel of food in your mouth. The sensation of a awakening your taste buds to what you are about to eat is part of the entire eating experience. The first smell sets you up with an aroma that makes you want to dive in…..NOT SO WITH BABY FOOD!!! All the foods had an underlying pasty texture. It didn’t matter if it was fruit, meats or cereal. The glue like texture was the second obstacle and in using the jarred food there was no other texture (no crunchy, no sweet, no salty, no spicy…JUST BLAND)
In order to get back on track this week (stock up on bread, etc) I went to the grocery store and I have to say – walking by the baby food isle I had two distinct feeling (1) was a relief and (2) was grossed out…..
NEVER AGAIN! I would never recommend this diet nor will I ever do again.
That is all I have to say about The Baby Food Diet
………………..N.E.V.E.R……..E.V.E.R…….A.G.A.I.N!!!
