For the week I am down 2.2 pounds! Very Happy!!
The week went very well. During the week very easy to eat before 9am, it was getting up a little earlier to prepare the Big Breakfast and then eating so much food first thing in the morning that took getting used to. About 2-3 days in I was actually looking forward to eating early in morning.
I did not feel sluggish after eating so much (I thought I would definitely need a nap) - the combination of protein and carbs I think kept me from crashing or wanting to eat alot during the rest of the day.
For the most part lunches were the basic salad with chicken or tuna fish and dinners were very night. I did not miss anything - especially being able to have candy or something sweet right after/during breakfast. It was a little weird to eat licorice at 8:45 in the morning after eating breakfast - but it really did keep my sugar cravings down the rest of the day. I am usually one for snacking about 2pm on candy (not chocolate - weird I know) but the pure sugar rush of Smarites (remember those) or Skittles, Licorice, Swedish Fish, Jelly Beans, SPREE (a big favorite) makes me happy mid afternoon....I did not crave any of those during this diet!! If I had been munching on these I would let you know.
I use gum most the time to help curb craving high calorie snacks ORBIT Bubblegum is my gum of choice!!
Would I do the BIG Breakfast diet again??? How could I not? I was satisfied, I got to eat candy or cookies at breakfast and there were no out of control cravings during the day! I can see this diet working long term. Added PLUS - the book was easy to navigate and follow (not alot of meical crap to fill pages (I know you need some - but at least it wasn't boring here)
Even with having the Big breakfast , there are ways to cut down further during it. Not have the fattier meats (bacon, sausage,etc), use Egg Whites only, use low calorie bread, low sugar jelly and keep your other meals (lunch & dinner) on the low fat side and I think this diet is keeper!!!
