Good Morning Everyone!
This morning I logged in a loss of 1.2 pounds!! That is a total down of 4.4 pounds for the week of doing Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet. Not bad for 7 days of dieting.
As you know I chose the Chocolate Flavor Cookies, they were good and from my research they do have several flavors to choose from. I think that a variety pack (which they do not offer) may be a way to start his diet, at least you would have something different everyday. You can check EBAY as some people do sell them on there and you can look for a good deal there - just make sure to ask what the expiration date is on the cookies prior to buying. Of course if you have or are getting or period then Chocolate may be the way to go. The diet itself is convenient. If you are on the road or are not much of a breakfast eater, then you just grab a bag and go. There are no decisions to make for your breakfast and lunch. You do however have to keep in mind that snacking is out (which with most diets it's out) and you really have to think about and prepare your dinners to be healthy and within guidelines of 500-700 calories (unless your doctor thinks you need more).
If you are lucky to get a GNC employee to give you their discount (which I was) you can get a box of one week for about $52.00, that's a savings of about $7.00 per box over the direct internet price.
Would I do this diet again? It's hard to say. You do need willpower. Eating just cookies for breakfast & lunch was hard but not unbearable. Losing over 4 pounds in a week was good. For now I am going to say, not sure. I am not sure as I have several other diets to do over the course of the year and I may find the one that does satisfy me on all levels throughout the day. So for now I will hold my "would I do it again" answer for another day. I will say again that I do not think a guy would be able to do this. Not enough calories for them for breakfast and lunch , plus from "G's" reaction he would never do this....
So onto today....I start the Japanese Banana Diet. Check back later today to see how that is going.....
