After yesterdays way too early rise and shine - - I slept in and took my time doing things around the house.
It really is a shame that the majority of people that work, only have the weekends to get things done. Two days is not enough time. Who ever came up with the 5 day work week?? It should be at least 50/50. Half your time working and half off! Or at least work 4 days and get 3 off.
Which leads me to getting prepared for the week (or at least part of the week)...the grocery shopping, the laundry and misc items around the house to get done - and if you have kids, that work is probably at least doubled!
Between boiling eggs
pan searing chicken
and actually making yourself a meal (mine was salad for dinner)
The shopping, the prepping and the cleaning NEVER END! We should ALL be skinny and toned with all that gets done just on the two days we are not at work!
Today went well (no JUNK FOOD AT ALL)...and stuck pretty close to the Diet Center Program (just no Bran muffins, crackers or GG Bran Crisp Bread)
Morning (8:30am) : Lemon Juice in Hot water and 750 mg calcium tablet
Breakfast (9:00): 2 Hard boiled eggs, 1 bottle water, 250mg vitamin C
Snack(10:45am): 1 apple, water
11:30am: water, 250mg vitamin C
Lunch (2:30pm): 1 can tuna in water, 1/2 baby carrots, 1 cup non fat vanilla yogurt , water
Dinner: (5:30pm) BIG salad, 3 oz chicken breast, 3 cup lettuce, 1/2 tomato, 1/2 cucumber, light italian dressing
Snack: (will have at 6:45pm) 1 orange, water
There is NO EATING -or- DRINKING AFTER 8PM.
No new diet will be listed tomorrow. I will be continuing the NO JUNK FOOD CHALLENGE until Christmas, along with everyone else that is doing it.
I continue to be going back and forth with the same 3-5 pounds, I am frustrated - but not giving up. I knew doing a different diet weekly would be challenging and these last 3 months have been KILLER!!! To get so far and to be basically stagnate can be disappointing - BUT I look at the BIG picture - I made progress, I feel better about getting into smaller clothes and it's not going to happen overnight. I still have weight to lose and I am not stopping myself from reaching my goals - I could have said "SCREW IT" a while back - or - for that matter now. BUT WHY???!!
I am not dieting for you - Yes, I am writing this blog for you (and me) and I want to be an inspiration, a beacon of information and hope and to provide the light (or hard) kick in the pants when you need it. Losing weight is a personal want/need. I can tell you what I am going through and you have most likely gone through the same thing or similar, I can throw out all the ideas I come across or new information on diets, Does it help??!! I hope so - BUT.... What I hope most is that if you are reading this blog (THANK YOU SO MUCH) and you are struggling with weight or exercising (or both) you find something here that might push -or- motivate you more to take care of YOU. Make YOU Healthy and Happier. What better motivation for me and you, that knowing that we share a common "thorn" and make a friendship out of it while making ourselves healthier. I could say skinnier, but why? Wouldn't toned and healthy be better?
Enjoy the rest of your evening and look forward to the week ahead (even if you faltered - WE ALL DO) just get back on track and let that little slip be a faint memory in your past - YOU are onto smaller and better things!

....I grabbed my hand weights and caught up on Dexter (last season catch-up on dvd) while working my arms. I barely noticed the time go by!! I've done this in the past (sporatically) but this morning my arms and parts of my back are slighty sore - so something got a work out!! Leaving those hand weights by the TV and will start using them more often!
