Okay....How many of you actually got back on track today??
There are the leftovers that no one took home or you ended up taking home from the relatives/friends home, plus the christmas cookies that if not inhaled prior to midnight tonight that will have to be thrown out to the backyard so that the deer, birds or squirrels can munch on and save you from the extra calories if left hanging around your kitchen...Everyone (including me) tries to get that last bit of AWESOME Christmas treats in before drawing the line and geting back on track and of course MONDAY is the start of the new week - so in all fairness today is the last day to get it out of your system before the TOTAL COMMITMENT to the New Years Resolutions.
I had my last Hurrah yesterday - but I wasn't really that bad...We had the 99th Birthday Celebration and the food was prepared by a chef (a Chef in the family - not a bad deal) anyway appetizers were fairly lowfat, brushetta, cold anipasta salad and fresh vegetables with dip....dinner was filet mignon with asparagus and mash potatoes along with homemade manicotti. Dessert was a HUGE Neapolitan pastry made into a birthday cake....ALL WAS FABULOUS!! AND I only gained .4....not bad!!
Best part of yesterday was celebrating an amazing woman who hit a milestone 99 years old!!! Along with spending it with family that we do not get a chance to see as often as we would like. It was all good!
Today back to REAL REALITY....
Breakfast: 3/4 cup Rice Krispies, 1 cup skim milk
Snack: 1 Hard boiled egg, 1/2cup grapefruit juice
Lunch: 3 oz grilled chicken breast (chopped) 2 cups spring mix lettuce salad, 1 tomato, 1/2 cucumber,1 tablespoon light italian dressing,
Snack : 2 oz low fat cheddar cheese, 1 apple
Dinner: 5 oz Tilapia fillet , 2 cups mixed steamed veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots)
Snack: Chobani vanilla low fat yogurt
My exercise for the day was concentrated on laundry and getting the house in some kind of order (no more 4 day work weeks....). I thought I would get on the treadclimber today but it just has hasn't happened yet and I do not forsee it happening before I go to bed tonight....but I am focused and will be sleeping in my workout gear - - -the treadclimber will be in action tomorrow!!!
It's your last chance to get it out of your system...so go for it and I'll talk to you tomorrow on how great you will be feeling starting to get those sugary, carbs out of your system when you are back on healthy eating and working towards your new goals....
Have a TERRIFIC Night and I am looking forward to a Healthier, Happier New Year and sharing it with ALL my WONDERFUL new friends....We are in this together!!!
I believe every person has the ability to achieve something important, and with that in mind I regard everyone as special !!
